The Rolling Stones just announced their first shows in Liverpool and London and have said they'll replace drummer Charlie Watts, who died last year, with a session musician named Steve Jordan. Jordan is no stranger to the Stones, having played with them since the 1980s. Their 60th anniversary tour of Europe this summer begins June first in Madrid, Spain, and will include their first show in Liverpool in more than 50 years.
The London Daily Mail speculates that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “increasingly erratic behavior” could be caused by (wait for it...) 'Rhoid rage,' thanks to the heavy steroid use from taking steroids to prevent cancer. Putin, who is reportedly paranoid about his health, has taken all sorts of measures --like wearing a hazmat suit while visiting a Moscow hospital and sitting alone at the end of a long table while getting briefed to avoid getting Covid-19.
"SNL's" Pete Davidson is going up on the next space flight from Jeff Bezos' company. The Blue Origin flight is scheduled for next Wednesday, March 23rd, and will be the fourth human flight launched by the company. Zooming into space along with Davidson, will be Party America CEO Marty Allen; philanthropist and real estate mogul Marc Hagle and his wife, Sharon; University of North Carolina professor Jim Kitchen and Dr. George Nield, president of Commercial Space Technologies. No word on whether Pete is forking over big bucks to get the ride, or whether he's being comped by Bezos.
Just announced --Variety reports the Discovery Plus TV channel will be merging with HBO Max after the merger between their parent companies takes place sometime in the middle of April. No word on what will survive on the individual channels, although speculation is that there will be streaming channels both with and without commercials, or as they'll put it, "ad-free" or "ad-lite."
The Kardashians are back in the news. Show biz trades blew up with the family faces after Hulu posted the first trailer for their new show, called "The Kardashians," which will debut on April 14th. As it turns out, the show will not have any cast changes, although there'll reportedly be a load of new issues, including Kim’s new relationship with “SNL's” Pete Davidson, her divorce from Kanye West, and Kylie’s second pregnancy.
As long as we're on the baby subject, the latest thing is talk about whether Kourtney and her fiance Travis Barker are having a baby. That whole area of speculation rose up after the latest posts from Kourtney with pictures and talking about her "cravings" while eating a vegan burger at a Malibu diner. She already has three children, aged 11, 9 and 6 with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, and as viewers know, she's now engaged to Travis Barker.
