Tube talk: WILMER VALDERRAMA is reportedly developing a TV series based on the Disney western, "Zorro," for Disney Branded TV. He'd also star in the series, playing the masked avenger and his alter ego, Don Diego de la Vega.
Movie news: Look for JENNIFER LOPEZ and OWEN WILSON in a new movie debuting on Peacock as well as in theatres the weekend beginning February 11th. The movie, "Marry Me," is about a musical superstar, played by J-LO (of course) who gets a proposal from another singer --played by Columbian singer MAKUMA-- only to find out he's been unfaithful. That leads her to get married to a stranger in the crowd --played by Owen Wilson.
This weekend: Lotsa reviews of the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" opening this weekend say it's set to dominate the box office, with some projections saying it'll bring in at least $100 million and others saying as much as $130 million. Either figure would be the most money from any opening during the Pandemic era.
Even more movies: KEANU REEVES told STEPHEN COLBERT that he and CARRIE-ANNE MOSS jumped off a more than 40-story building about 19 or 20 times for the latest "Matrix" film. "After the first time, you can't think of.. the fear," Keanu said. "You have to, not block it, but deal with it, absorb it and just be there and do. And that's what we did." "The Matrix Resurrections" hits theaters as well as HBO Max on December 22nd.
Congrats to KATHIE LEE GIFFORD, who posted on Instagram that her son, CODY, and his wife, ERIKA BROWN, are expecting a baby in June of next year. The couple said they aren't going to find out the sex of the baby until he or she is born, in their words, "the old fashioned way- when our lil 'squish' arrives."
