HBO now says the "Sex and the City" spin-off, called "And Just Like That," will premiere on HBO Max in December. As you know, the cable channel says SARAH JESSICA PARKER, who plays Carrie, will return, along with Miranda (CYNTHIA NIXON) and Charlotte (KRISTIN DAVIS) --all now in their 50s. KIM CATTRALL, who played Samantha, will not be back.
SHANNEN DOHERTY picked up $6.3 million bucks Monday when a federal jury agreed with her lawsuit claiming that State Farm failed to pay enough for the damage her home sustained in a 2018 California wildfire. The $6.3 million is not just for the damage to the house --it also covers her emotional distress and her attorney’s fees as well. State Farm said they may appeal the verdict.
FYI: As you may remember, Shannen has breast cancer, which was first diagnosed back in 2015, and has now progressed to stage 4.
A Detroit post office has been named for the late singer ARETHA FRANKLIN on Monday. US Representative BRENDA LAWRENCE introduced the bill to change the name of the Post Office in Congress, and it was signed by former PRESIDENT TRUMP. Lawrence tweeted “With her family/friends, we hosted a dedication ceremony today to honor the Queen of Soul. This building will always stand as a reminder that we all deserve a little RESPECT.”
FYI: Aretha passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2018 at age 76.
Just released: The NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK announced a national tour yesterday. Their 2022 ‘MixTape’ tour will also feature SALT-N-PEPA, RICK ASTLEY and EN VOGUE. Tickets go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster.com. Live Nation says the tour will include 55 cities beginning next May. The groups were all on the KELLY CLARKSON Show Monday to announce the tour.
