Health: Over in England, a new law has banned Botox-style treatments and lip fillers for cosmetic reasons for women under 18. ASHTON COLLINS, who's the head of a British group called "Save Face," tells the BBC "Some people desperately want these treatments, particularly young girls, but there's no reason for anybody under the age of 18 to be getting them for cosmetic reasons. There are many influencers and reality TV stars who are sponsored to actually promote having these treatments. But they never explain how dangerous they can be in unsafe hands."
Married: Actress KESHIA KNIGHT PULLIAM and actor BRAD JAMES in an intimate wedding, some nine months after he proposed in Atlanta. She originally met James on the set of "Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta," where she played Caroline and James played Mr. Bingley. As for the wedding, she wrote "...it was intimate, whimsical, full of love, laughter and joy... Absolutely perfect!!"
Retired: DAVID LEE ROTH. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported he announced his retirement during a phone interview with the newspaper: "I am throwing in the shoes. I'm retiring," he said. "This is the first, and only, official announcement ...you've got the news. Share it with the world." Roth also said he'd been thinking about "the departure of my beloved classmate," referring to the death of EDDIE VAN HALEN about a year ago from cancer. Roth has five shows scheduled at House of Blues in Las Vegas beginning New Year's Eve and running into early January --which he says will be his last.
COVID problems: The NY Times reports the latest shortage in these pandemic days are... (wait for it...) Diapers! The National Diaper Bank Network, an organization that provides diapers to children, says the global supply chains have been affected to the point where diaper manufacturers Kimberly-Clark and Procter & Gamble have increased the prices of their baby products this year. A typical month's supply for a single baby costs around $75.
Actor CLINT EASTWOOD has won the $6.1 million-dollar lawsuit he filed against a Lithuanian company which he said falsely claimed that he had endorsed CBD products and used his name and pictures of him to make it appear he was endorsing their products. “Mr. Eastwood has no connection of any kind whatsoever to any CBD products and never gave such an interview,” the court documents said.
Tube talk: NATALIE MORALES, who's been an anchor at the “Today” show, “Access Hollywood” and “Dateline” is moving to a new job. She released the news Friday, telling NBC staffers she'll be moving to yet still another talk show on a rival network so she can “spread my own wings and to pursue a new adventure.” She's been with NBC News for 22 years.
