Looking to buy a new car? Not so fast. A new survey of several Asian countries shows a surge in COVID-19 cases from the Delta variant, which means the chip shortage to use in cars is not gonna stop anytime soon. That's reportedly the big reason that auto prices have hit the roof and since there's gonna be less autos produced, there'll be record-high prices for vehicles --either new or used, as well as rental cars-- and will likely continue into next year. In fact, the latest is that we might not see any relief until 2023.
Congrats to KANYE WEST, whose latest album, "Donda," hit number one on the Billboard album charts, giving him a 10th Number One album --and making him the seventh artist to EVER have that many number one albums.
Meanwhile, with a company filing to trademark the name “Kanye West” for a bunch of home décor products, the big rumor is that his next big idea is to do Kanye home goods. The NY Post's Page Six reports the application covers a variety of items including blankets, shower curtains, pillowcases, towels and textile wall hangings.
Let's all feel sorry for rapper LIL UZI VERT, who dove into a crowd at the Rolling Loud music festival in July, and some of the fans ripped out the pink diamond he has his forehead when he did it. He told the story to TMZ last week, and said (fortunately) "I'm feeling good... I still have the diamond so I feel good." He should --the diamond is reportedly worth $24 million bucks.
New study of 75-thousand adults from the journal Annals of Medicine shows several changes in their thoughts about the COVID-19 vaccination:
--basically around 10 percent of the adults say they are reluctant to get the vaccine. Their reasons include not trusting the government (40%) or not trusting the efficacy of the vaccine (45%).
--A larger group who've said they'll probably get the shot(s) but haven't yet say either they plan to wait and see (55%), they're concerned about possible side effects (51%), or they think that other people need it more (36%).
Problems for an upcoming PUSSYCAT DOLLS reunion --Choreographer and founder ROBIN ANTIN is suing NICOLE SCHERZINGER after she reportedly said she was refusing to take part in the group's reunion. Turns out she wants full creative control and her 49% share in the group's "PCD" company to be increased to 75%. The PCD company would manage the Pussycat Dolls brand in the future, including any new projects.
Fast food: Fall is here and the folks at Krispy Kreme doughnuts are bringing hack their Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts beginning today (September 6th). There's a regular Pumpkin Spice Glazed Doughnut, a Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake Doughnut and a Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut.
The 20th Anniversary of 9/11 is coming up this Saturday, and that means a ton of TV specials, documentaries and dramatized retellings. Look for them to start tonight as many networks gear up for the anniversary.
