Looks like ABBA is returning to the music scene. As you may remember, the group was back in the studio in 2018, said they made two new songs, but they were never released. Now, they've put together a new "Abba Voyage" website, and want fans to register. Sources claim they'll get info on the group's "hologram tour" and five new songs, possibly as soon as the second of September. The London Sun claims the show will have (wait for it...) "Abba-tars" of the group performing their songs.
Surprise! The folks at LYFT will be using the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile to surprise some of their customers in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Atlanta this summer from August 25th through the 27th (today). Word is the riders will see the inside of the 27-foot-long Wienermobile with “music, neon lights, free shirts, hot dog masks, and, of course, Weenie Whistles, all the way to their destination.”
ABC has picked up a new legal show starring STEVE HARVEY. The Hollywood Reporter says he'll now be "Judge Steve Harvey," and serve as the judge --and jury-- for his cases, ranging from small claims to larger disputes.
If your child is a Harry Potter fan, get ready for all eight original “Harry Potter” films on HBO Max beginning September first. The films were streaming on NBCUniversal’s Peacock for the past year, but are now moving as of the end of the month.
There's another “Downton Abbey” film coming next year. The Wrap reports it'll be called “Downton Abbey: A New Era,” and feature MAGGIE SMITH along with the entire original cast of the TV series: HUGH DANCY, LAURA HADDOCK, NATHALIE BAYE and DOMINIC WEST. Look for it in theatres on March 18th.
Why should a woman use makeup when she's wearing a mask over her face to avoid COVID? That's reportedly the reason that stocks from companies selling beauty products took a plunge over the last year. However, it may be changing: Ulta Beauty shares rose more than five percent on Wednesday after the company reported its second-quarter sales jumped more than 60-percent. Which brings us to the question: have you been wearing more makeup and less masks lately?
Finally, news broke yesterday that SIRHAN SIRHAN, the guy who assassinated Sen. ROBERT F. KENNEDY back in 1968, could be released on parole today after spending 53 years behind bars in San Diego. His 16th parole hearing is today, and prosecutors said they won't oppose his parole petition. In fact, ROBERT KENNEDY, Jr says he's supporting Sirhan's bid because he does not believe he's the man who killed his father and that he was set up to take the blame for it. He wants the case to be reopened. Sirhan himself reportedly has said he has no memory of the killing
