Fast food: Dunkin’ Donuts --now just Dunkin’-- is bringing in fall just a bit early, debuting their new Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, along with classic Pumpkin Flavored Coffees, Donut, Muffin and Munchkins Donut Hole Treats beginning today (August 18).
Tube talk: Look for DWAYNE JOHNSON’s “Red Notice” debuting today (Mon, Nov. 12th) on Netflix. The film, about a global search for the biggest art thief in the world, also stars RYAN REYNOLDS and GAL GADOT.
Lawsuit of the day: BOB DYLAN -who's now 80 years old-- is being sued by a Connecticut woman who says he sexually abused her "multiple times" and plied her with alcohol and drugs back in 1965 when she was 12. The incidents took place at his apartment in New York City's Chelsea Hotel. How can a lawsuit be filed after 56 years? Turns out there was a temporary legal "look back window" under the state's Child Victims Act in New York, which allowed historical abuse allegations to be filed. Dylan's spokesman says "the 56-year-old claim is untrue and will be vigorously defended."
How would you like to be buried next to Playboy magazine publisher HUGH HEFNER and movie star MARILYN MONROE? They're side by side at the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles, and the crypt next door belonged to Broadway composer JERRY HERMAN. He wasn't buried there when he passed away two years ago --instead, he was buried next to his mom in New Jersey. Now, the Wall Street Journal says his family is selling the famous resting spot for $2 million bucks. The mausoleum also holds the remains of other famous celebrities, including NATALIE WOOD, DEAN MARTIN, FARRAH FAWCETT and TRUMAN CAPOTE.
Tube talk: Bravo has bagged “The Real Housewives of Dallas” for a sixth season. A network spokesperson told the NY Post “There are currently no plans to bring ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’ back next year, and beyond that nothing official has been decided.” That doesn't mean it's gone for good --apparently the series could be back like “The Real Housewives of Miami,” which originally was on Bravo, and now is rumored to be back on Peacock in mid-2022.
Not gonna happen: James Bond actor DANIEL CRAIG told Candis magazine he's not leaving his two children his fortune, estimated at $160 million dollars. He says he plans on spending it or giving it away. "Isn't there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you've failed?" he asked. Daniel has two daughters --ELLA with his ex-wife, FIONA LOUDON, and a younger daughter with his second wife, actress RACHEL WEISZ.
As you may remember, SCARLETT JOHANSSON made headlines two weeks ago when she sued Disney for breach of contract after they released “Black Widow” in theaters and on Disney Plus at the same time, claiming the move depressed ticket sales, which she apparently had a contract clause to get part of. Now, Scarlett has joined the cast of Wes Anderson’s latest movie, which stars ADRIEN BRODY, JASON SCHWARTZMAN, TILDA SWINTON, MARGOT ROBBIE, TOM HANKS and BILL MURRAY.
"American Pie" singer DON McLEAN made headlines earlier this week when he picked up a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Don, who's 75, posed with his model girlfriend, PARIS DYLAN, for the special ceremony. Paris is 27 years old, and she and Don have been dating for nearly five years. "I’m honored to have her as a girlfriend and a partner and we have no plans to ever break up," he said. "We are going to stay together and ride this pony as long as we can."
A new Gallup poll sez nearly half of adults they recently surveyed --49 percent-- admitted to having tried marijuana --the most in more than 50 years. But even though more have tried smoking pot, another Gallup survey last month revealed just 12 percent said they smoke it --the same as in their 2017 and 2019 polls.
