Movies: Disney-Plus announced yesterday that there's a sixth film coming in the “Home Alone” movie franchise. It's called (wait for it...) “Home Sweet Home Alone,” and will premiere on Friday, November 12th on the streaming network. The plot involves a 12-year-old boy (played by MAX MERCER) who's left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. And the fun begins.
Scientists have discovered two new species of dinosaurs in northwest China. Nature Scientific Reports says one is estimated to have been 65 feet long, with a very long neck, long tail, large body and small head. A second was also probably more than 55 feet long. Both of the were sauropods, which ate veggies and probably roamed the area between 130 to 120 million years ago, in the Early Cretaceous period.
The folks at Pepsi are bringing out a new, alcoholic version of Mountain Dew! The new Dew will come in three flavors: watermelon, orange and black cherry and have five-percent alcohol, but it will also be sugar and caffeine free. Look for it in stores early next year.
Not so Fast food: Speaking of alcohol, CNN Business reports IHOP will be selling alcohol in the not so distant future as well. The brands will include Bud Light, Blue Moon and Corona beers, as well as Barefoot Bubbly Brut, Barefoot Bubbly Chardonnay and Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon. So far, there's only a couple of franchisees testing the new menu out --two in New Mexico, and another in San Diego expected to begin next month. IHOP also says their restaurants in New York, Rhode Island, Maryland and Ohio will also likely begin serving booze by the end of the year. The folks at IHOP hope the move will increase their customers for afternoon and evening meals as well.
Fast food: Wendy’s will be giving away Croissant sandwiches (no purchase necessary) during breakfast hours today and tomorrow (August 13-14). No questions asked, no purchase required, but it's only for the Sausage, Egg & Swiss Croissant, or Bacon, Egg & Swiss Croissant. -
