Big money #1: Got several million burning a hole in your pocket and don't know what to do with it? Well, OPRAH WINFREY has put her 43-acre waterfront estate on Orcas Island out west in Washington State on the market ...for $14 million bucks --reportedly because she's just too busy to use it. Of course, she'll make some money on the sale --she picked it up three years ago for around $8 million. For the money, you'll get a four-bedroom main house and a four-bedroom guest house next door, each with its own private beach... and lots more.
Too much to spend? How about your own, private helicopter? Former President DONALD TRUMP is reportedly looking to unload one of his personal helicopters, but you'll haveta make an offer on it. The Sikorsky S76-B usually goes for around a million, but of course, since the President rode around in it, there'll probably be other, more expensive offers as well. The helicopter allegedly comes with gold seat belts and gold handles, plus upholstered leather and custom flooring.
SCARLETT JOHANSSON has filed a lawsuit against Disney because her movie, "Black Widow," is not only in theatres, but Disney also put it on Disney-Plus at the same time. Scarlett sez that's a breach of her contract (which stipulates "an exclusive theatrical release") and she might not make as much money because it'll probably affect the box office take that her contract was based on.
Over in England, SIMON COWELL's TV show “The X Factor” has been canceled after 17 years on ITV. But let's not feel too sorry for Simon, since he's already arranged for another show --a musical quiz show called “Walk The Line”-- which will also be run ITV.
Good news for HARVEY WEINSTEIN --at least temporarily-- he was wheeled into court yesterday and a judge dismissed the sexual assault charge against him on the grounds allowed by the statute of limitations. But that's just one of the 11 charges and the judge also allowed the prosecution to amend the indictment and refile it. So we'll see what happens next.
Finally --Gotta go: Mr. Infomercial, RON POPEIL, has passed away at the age of 86. You may remember him from commercials for his Pocket Fisherman, Hair in a Can, Mr. Microphone and many, many others. TMZ reports he had a "severe medical emergency" when he was brought to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Tuesday night and passed away the following morning. He'd been retired after selling his company, Ronco, for around $56 million back in 2005.
