Passing: sorry to hear former astronaut MICHAEL COLLINS --who rode in the command module of Apollo 11 while NEIL ARMSTRONG and BUZZ ALDRIN walked on the Moon-- has passed away after what his family said was "a valiant battle with cancer." He was 90 years old. That leaves Buzz Aldrin as the only member of that first mission to the moon still alive.
Tube talk: This year's MTV Movie & TV Awards will be happening on Sunday, May 16th. Actress LESLIE JONES, who starred in “Ghostbusters” and appears with EDDIE MURPHY in “Coming 2 America,” has been picked to host the Awards. She is also the host of ABC’s “Supermarket Sweep” game show. The ceremony will air live from the Los Angeles Palladium at 9 pm (Eastern).
There's another "Father of the Bride" movie in the works. The original one starred SPENCER TRACY back in 1950, and there was also one starring STEVE MARTIN in 1991. The Hollywood Reporter says ANDY GARCIA and GLORIA ESTEFAN will star along with ADRIA ARJONA, who's playing the bride and ISABELA MERCED, who starred in "Dora and the Lost City of Gold," as her sister. This version will be about a Cuban American family attempting to stage their daughter's wedding.

A new study from the University of Northern British Columbia says North American glaciers getting smaller, faster than any others around the world. In fact, four times faster than they were melting 20 years ago --267 billion tons each year.
