Help build toilets for families in need and give yourself some great giveaways at the same time. We're talking "Who Gives a Crap toilet paper"! Each roll is made from biodegradable bamboo and the folks who make it donate 50-percent of their profits to help build toilets for those in need, since it turns out that 2.3 billion people across the world don't have access to a toilet. That's roughly 40-percent of the global population and means that around 289-thousand children under five die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That's almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes.
Their toilet paper --each roll has a wrapper which sez "Who Give a Crap" is premium 3-ply and 100-percent biodegradable with no inks, dyes or scents. For more, head to: whogivesacrap.org
Fast food department: In celebration of National Biscuit Month and Hardee’s 60th anniversary, they're giving away free Sausage Biscuits today: Wednesday, September 30. Just visit any participating location and tell 'em at the checkout counter: “Made From Scratch.” That's it --no purchase necessary. The phrase is to emphasize the fact that you're getting a grilled sausage patty on a (wait for it...) Made from Scratch Biscuit. And 630 calories per. You're welcome.
No surprise --at Florida State University they've had almost 1,500 positive Covid-19 test results since they began testing in August. And the week of September 20, of the 2,072 tests given, there were 51 positives, or 2.5 percent. That's why it should come as no surprise that cops broke up a party Saturday night with over a thousand students at a housing complex about two miles west of the FSU campus. Masks? Not so much.
