The Pumpkin food craze is not even close to being overdone apparently. Denny’s has joined the fray with their new Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes, which will be added to their seasonal pumpkin and pecan pies.
Not a surprise: Microsoft says hackers from Russia, China and Iran have already begun attacking the upcoming US election. The company reports they are attempting to infiltrate campaign staffers, think tanks and consultants:
- China’s Zirconium hacking group has launched “thousands of attacks” mostly targeting Biden campaign staff and other “prominent leaders in the international affairs community.”
- The Russian organization Strontium has targeted “200 organizations including political campaigns, advocacy groups, parties and political consultants.”
- And Iran’s Phosphorus hacking group, which usually focuses on the Middle East region, has reportedly attacked the personal accounts of Trump campaign staffers and other administration officials.
Show biz: actress NEVE CAMPBELL will be back playing Sidney Prescott in a brand-new “Scream” movie. As if you don't remember, she also played the character in the last four “Scream” movies directed by the late WES CRAVEN. The new film will reportedly shoot in Wilmington, NC, and be released on January 14th, 2022.
Show biz #2: Disney Plus is putting together a new “Doogie Howser” series... although this time Doogie is a girl! Variety reports the new series will be called “Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.” with a mixed race, 16-year-old girl, who toils away as a doctor out in Hawaii.
Passing: Actress DIANA RIGG, who played Emma Peel in "The Avengers" and Olenna Tyrell in "Game of Thrones," has died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March. She was 82. She also played the only woman to ever marry James Bond, getting married to GEORGE LAZENBY's Bond in the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."
Also passing: RONALD "Khalis" BELL, one of the co-founders and singer of KOOL & THE GANG, has died. He was 68. The group won a Grammy in 1978 for their work on the soundtrack for "Saturday Night Fever." Bell wrote and composed some of the group's biggest hits including "Celebration," "Cherish," "Jungle Boogie" and "Summer Madness," which was used in several films including "Rocky" and "Baby Boy." He said his favorite of them all was "Celebration." The cause of his death has not been released.
