SPIKE LEE was due to get the Chaplin Film Award at Lincoln Center this coming Mon, Apr 27th, but no word yet on whether it's likely been postponed to another date. It's really a nice award for Spike --there's only been four previous winners of the award: HELEN MIRREN, ROBERT DE NIRO, MORGAN FREEMAN and ROBERT REDFORD. As you probably know, Spike's last film, "BlacKKKlansman," was nominated for six Oscars including Best Picture.
The ROLLING STONES have released their first new single in eight years.
Called "Living In A Ghost Town," it's a reference to the coronavirus, with MICK JAGGER singing "Life was so beautiful, now we all got locked down / Feel like a ghost, living in a ghost town." "We thought would resonate through the times we're living in," Jagger said. KEITH RICHARDS said the song was finished "via satellite" before being released yesterday: "We sort of did it from outer space. But I actually liked the way it turned out.

Daily Variety reports there’s an “Anchorman” reunion coming up on Apple TV Plus. “The Shrink Next Door,” will star WILL FERRELL and PAUL RUDD in an eight-episode, "limited comedy series," with Paul playing a psychiatrist and Will as his long-time patient, with Rudd moving into Ferrell’s character's home and taking over his family business.
It's the first time the pair have worked together since “Anchorman 2.”
Coronavirus update: you knew it would come out sooner or later --a new study from China’s academics at the Hong Kong University School of Public Health and published in the Lancet, claims China underestimated the number of COVID-19 cases by four times. The study found that more than 230-thousand people were likely infected in the first wave of the outbreak, contrary to the official Chinese data, which claimed just 55-thousand cases as of February 20.
And for you guys who got cash on hand and want an ultra speedy car, the Detroit Free Press reports Ford is testing an all-new, all-electric Mustang. The Cobra Jet 1400 does a quarter-mile at more than 170 mph.
Unfortunately at this point, it's just a test vehicle and not for sale. Ford does say the car should deliver "more than 1,400 horsepower."
