Coronovirus: Here's a cool note: Turns out Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga are going to stop manufacturing clothes temporarily in order to use their factories to make surgical masks. Can't you just see a facemask with a "YSL" logo on the side? I need one for my wife!!!
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 ceremony has now been rescheduled. NINE INCH NAILS, DEPECHE MODE, THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, WHITNEY HOUSTON, T-REX and the NOTORIOUS B.I.G. will be getting their awards on Sat, Nov. 07, at the usual place --the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, OH. It'll be broadcast on HBO. The ceremony was originally scheduled for Mar. 12.
You probably don't recognize the name ERIC WEISSBERG right off the bat, but if I mention that he was one of the pair that recorded “Dueling Banjos” for the film “Deliverance” in 1973, you'll immediately know who I'm talking about. Unfortunately, Eric has passed away at 80, after apparently suffering from Alzheimer’s for years.
And one fun note for everyone immersed in the coronovirus problem -- apparently there's still a way to catch some movies outside your house! Variety reports Drive-in Movies are having a resurgence because you can watch 'em with your family inside your car! There are still 305 drive-in theatres in the US, in all states except Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana and North Dakota. Check HERE to see where the drive-in near you is.
