If you loved the ROBIN WILLIAMS movie, "Mrs. Doubtfire," then you'll wanna book a trip to see a new musical based on the 1993 film which will premiere on Broadway next spring.
Rolling Stone magazine reports Tony nominee ROB McCLURE will star as the lead character.
The musical will get a tryout from Nov26-Dec 29th this year in Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, before moving to Broadway's Stephen Sondheim Theatre starting March 9th (in previews).Add NEIL PATRICK HARRIS to the cast of the upcoming "Matrix 4" movie. No word on what role he'll be playing, although as we've noted before, KEANU REEVES and CARRIE-ANNE MOSS will be back for the sequel, as well as YAHYA ABDUL-MATEEN II, who played Cadillac in the television series, "The Get Down."
And Variety reports JADA PINKETT SMITH is also in negotiations to reprise her role as Niobe in "The Matrix 4" as well.We're two weeks away from Halloween, and time for you last minute costume buyers to hunt for a costume for you... or the kids who'll be going trick-or-treating.
And according to National Retail Federation's annual survey, 68 percent of us plan to celebrate Halloween this year, spending $3.2 billion on costumes, $2.6 billion on candy, $2.7 billion on decorations and $390 million on greeting cards.
As far as costumes, the breakdown goes like this:
7.9 percent --or 3.1 million children-- will dress up as a princess; 6 percent, or 2.4 million as their favorite superhero; and 5.2 percent, or 2 million as Spider-Man.
The rest of the costumes:
--Avengers character (other than Spider-Man): 3.9 percent
--Batman: 3.5 percent
--A Witch: 3.3 percent
--A Ghost: 2.8 percent
--A Vampire: 2.2 percent
--A character from "Frozen" (Elsa or Anna): 2.2 percent
--A Pirate: 2.1 percent -
