Married: Congratulations to "Supergirl" co-stars MELISSA BENOIST and CHRIS WOOD, who tied the knot on Sunday, but the news just broke late yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
The couple's ceremony was performed at a private estate in Ojai, CA, with the "Supergirl" family in attendance as well as KEVIN SMITH, ODETTE ANNABLE and PAUL WESLEY.

In today's weird medical news, the Annals of Internal Medicine published a story this week about how a teenager in the UK went blind because all he'd eaten since elementary school was "a daily portion of fries from the local fish and chip shop [he] snacked on Pringles, white bread, processed ham slices, and sausage." The doctors say the 17-year-old's sight had been deteriorating for two years. And although poor nutrition is more often associated with obesity, poor cardiovascular health or cancer, but in this case it showed it could affect children's nervous systems.
In fact, two years earlier his hearing began failing, and that was followed by the vision loss.Ain't gonna happen: RICHARD GERE's upcoming eight-episode Apple drama series, "Bastards," has been cancelled. The series was based on the Israeli drama, "Nevelot," which followed two elderly Vietnam vets and best friends who found their lives changed when a woman they both loved 50 years ago is killed by a car. No word on why the show was bagged at this point.
Not everybody gets to read those Harry Potter books. At St. Edward Catholic School in Nashville, TN, the entire Potter catalog has been removed from the school library because reading them could cause students to conjure up "evil spirits."
The school's Rev. DAN REEHIL told the Nashville Tennessean newspaper "The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the texts." -
