As promised, details on the new Bond film --number 25-- were doled out yesterday. "Mr Robot" star RAMI MALEK, who also won an Oscar for playing FREDDIE MERCURY in "Bohemian Rhapsody," will be playing the villain in the film, which is due in theatres next April. RALPH ("Rafe") FIENNES and BEN WHISHAW will return as M and Q respectively, NAOMIE HARRIS will once again play Moneypenny and RORY KINNEAR is back playing MI6 chief of staff Bill Tanner in the film.
Whoops! R. KELLY in trouble again, after missing a court date in Chicago yesterday morning. A woman had accused Kelly of repeatedly having sex with her when she was 16 --a minor-- but when Kelly didn't show up for the hearing, even though he pleaded not guilty and denied anything had happened, he lost. A judge will rule on how much Kelly will have to fork over next month.
PETE BUTTIGIEG ("Booted edge"), the mayor of South Bend, IN, who's running for president, has GWYNETH PALTROW and BRADLEY WHITFORD on his side. They're hosting a fundraiser for him in LA, and tickets are *just* $250 per person. This isn't the first time Gwyneth has gotten on the political bandwagon --she hosted then-President BARACK OBAMA for a fundraiser at her home back in 2014. Buttigieg also has a series of other fundraisers going on that day as well, making the most of his time in the city.
We just passed the third anniversary of PRINCE's passing last weekend, and his estate just announced that a new album of Prince songs will be released on his birthday --June 7.
The album, called "Originals" will feature Prince's versions of tunes the legendary artist wrote and gave to others to turn into hits. Fourteen of the 15 tracks are previously unreleased. -
