"Jimmy Kimmel Live" will be holding its first-ever yard sale tomorrow between 8 am and 4 pm (Pacific) to benefit My Friend's Place, a nonprofit resource center in Hollywood aiding homeless youth.
The yard sale --part of ABC's Summer of Service campaign-- is in honor of Jimmy's late and beloved Uncle Frank's Helping Hand Foundation and will be held in the studio's back parking lot at 6901 Hawthorne Avenue (across from Hollywood High School athletic field). Some of the items up for sale include props, wardrobe and memorabilia from the show's 14 years.Stars and their movies:
The San Francisco home where the ROBIN WILLIAMS' film, "Mrs. Doubtfire," was filmed, is up for sale. Varietyreports the Victorian house on a corner lot --bought in 1997 for $1.395 million by the current owner-- is now going for $4.45 million and is much the same as when the movie was filmed there, although the exterior has been painted yellow.
It has four bedrooms and is located at 2640 Steiner St. in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood.Space, the Final Frontier:
The "black moon" rises tonight! But don't worry --it's just a very spooky-sounding nickname for a rare lunar event. CBS News explains that a "black moon" is the name for a second New Moon to fall in a calendar month. A "black moon" only occurs about once every 32 months. A New Moon, of course, is basically the opposite of a Full Moon --the side of the moon we see from Earth is completely dark.
The "black moon" officially occurs at 8:11 Eastern time tonight. You can look for it if you want... but you won't see the "Black Moon" Risin' (Bartha)Taking everything much too seriously:
The "He-man Woman Haters Club" is a real thing.
There is an online movement called MGTOW, Men Going Their Own Way, a group that feels women are more trouble than they are worth and females are actually holding men back.
The Reddit thread now has over 15 thousand subscribers and MGTOW.com readers discuss topics like "craziest women you have ever dated" to "why women are getting fatter." They seriously think this is going to help them get ahead in the world. (Myers)A man in New York City plans to wear garbage for the next month.
ROB GREENFIELD wants to become "a walking billboard of environmental awareness to educate and inspire people." That's why he's going to wear a clear suit which will hold every piece of garbage he produces for 30-days. Rob estimates that he'll produce 4.5 pounds of trash per day --the American average. The garbage suit will ultimately weigh about 135-pounds. A film crew will follow Rob around New York as he tackles the challenge. (Still) -
