Sucking the life out of the wire services:
BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN is still in bleak shape at a Georgia hospital. Sources tell CNN that doctors tried to take her off various medications, but she began having seizures and had to be put her back on the drugs. Sources now say she is being taken out of her medically-induced coma to gauge how well her brain is functioning. A family member said: "We're hoping for a significant change soon, but we know that it may not change anything."
Meanwhile, Reuters reports that doctors took Bobbi Kristina off a ventilator as well yesterday. CNN's Dr. SANJAY GUPTA says she'll now be ventilated through the hole in her throat, which is "standard procedure" and lowers the risk of infection. "This is an indication that the patient will need this for weeks and months to come, as opposed to hours and days," he said. (Lee)Popped by the cops:
JENELLE EVANS of "Teen Mom" fame returned to her old stomping grounds last Tuesday --a friendly, neighborhood jail cell! RadarOnline.com reports the hot mess was popped for driving on a suspended license, she was "shocked" when an officer slapped on the cuffs and ponied up $237.50 for her freedom.
Friends say the situation is downright "embarrassing," particularly because she wasn't wearing any makeup in her mugshot.
In case you were wondering, this is Janelle's twelfth arrest. This means Janelle has been arrested more times than LINDSAY LOHAN, SNOOP DOGG and MIKE TYSON. (Lee)Guy wins suit after drugs give him large breasts:
Court settlement yesterday for 20-year-old AUSTIN PLEDGER, an Alabama man who says he "was not adequately warned" that a side effect of taking the antipsychotic drug Risperdal would mean that he'd grow enormous size 46DD breasts.
A Philadelphia jury awarded him $2.5 million in damages yesterday.
The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Austin, who has autism, was eight years old when the prescription was written --and the label on the bottle said there was a low risk of gynecomastia, a condition that causes men to grow female breasts.
His lawyer told the jury that to this day, Austin has female-like breasts that can only be removed through a mastectomy.
This is the first of more than 12-hundred cases filed in Philly over Risperdal to be settled, according to Austin's lawyer.
Risperdal is made by Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
