The Ebola Mess:
Experts tell the New York Post that the Ebola virus is a lot easier to catch than health officials have admitted, and can be contracted by simple contact with a doorknob contaminated by a sneeze from an infected person an hour or more before. Dr. MERYL NASS, of the Institute for Public Accuracy in Washington, DC, said, "If you are sniffling and sneezing, you produce microorganisms that can get on stuff in a room. If people touch them, they could be (infected)."
She added, "The (Centers for Disease Control) said it doesn't spread at all by air, then Friday they came out with this poster (saying it could) ...They admit that these particles or droplets may land on objects such as doorknobs and that Ebola can be transmitted that way." (Lee)JADA PINKETT SMITH has advice for how to deal with a teenage daughter. The actress and wife of WILL SMITH tells Us Weekly magazine of daughter WILLOW, "If she needs a ride from the mall, you go pick her up. You don't say a word. You don't ask her anything. Broadcast, cable and video news:
This Sunday you'll be able to catch NIK WALLENDA's tightrope walk across Chicago.
The Discovery Channel is televising the two live walks --one up an incline rising eight stories between two skyscrapers, and another, shorter walk between two buildings while wearing a blindfold. He could break two world records in the process: steepest incline walk and highest walk while blindfolded... if he doesn't fall. -
