Models:
Model DYLAN PENN just added "lingerie model" to her resume. The 22-year-old daughter of SEAN PENN and ROBIN WRIGHT is the new face of the Australian underwear company Bonds. People magazine's Stylewatch says Dylan's new ad campaign will stick to the basics: beautiful model in a pair of sexy black briefs and a white tank top. She recently was reported to have turned down a $150-thousand dollar payday to pose in the March issue of Playboy. (Bartha)
Prom Season:
Popular teenage trend this year: The "Promposal."
Elaborate, creative ways to ask someone to the prom.
CNN takes a break from their usual Malaysian Airline coverage to take a long, hard look at this latest trend. Filming your proposal is popular. One guy asked his girlfriend to prom on "Good Morning America." The pressure of millions watching. What do you say, girlfriend?
Flash mobs are another tactic. As one high school senior admitted, a big production can help a boy who wants to hedge his bet against rejection.
Editor's note: Who knew it could get any worse than the days of "Carrie" and "Pretty in Pink"?
--Sure, blow a ton of money on your prom. Then, think how dumb that'll look when you're a poor college kid sitting in your dorm room eating Top Ramen. (Sentimental, ain't I? --Maiman)Reality Round-Up:
New world record for the guys from "Duck Dynasty" --Sunday night, the stars of the show, WILLIE, KORIE, JASE, MISSY and their kids along with Uncle SI were in Florida for a Salvation Army fundraiser named "The Call: Faith, Family & Facial Hair."
As part of the fundraiser, the clan handed out duck calls to the members of the audience and had them toot 'em, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most people blowing duck calls at once.
Of course, it wasn't a hard record to break --Guinness says the previous record was set by just 250 people. So, the new record was set by 3,028 people blowing duck calls.
As the rep from Guinness said later, "It was fantastic! It sounded like a giant swarm of cicadas from the stage!"Pet Patrol:
The cat that saved a Central California boy from an attacking dog will throw out the first pitch tonight at a local minor league baseball game.
Last week, Tara the cat attacked and chased away a neighborhood dog that had begun chomping on the knee of four-year-old JEREMY TRIANTAFILO. Surveillance video of the incident went viral. Tara now has a Facebook page. It has over 20-thousand likes.
Kitty, along with Jeremy, and his mom and dad, will all be at the game tonight.
The Bakersfield Blaze, a Cincinnati Reds affiliate, promises "half price tickets to any fan bringing unused animal toys or unopened animal food" to tonight's game. The goods will be donated to "a local animal charity or shelter."
What they aren't saying is just how Tara the Attack Cat will throw out that first pitch, but as ESPN warned, "Let's go ahead and not underestimate Miss Tara, OK?"Human Nature:
Meetings --the ultimate workday time suck. If you want your time to suck a little less, hold the meeting standing up. New research out of University of Missouri found that stand-up meetings are 34 percent shorter than sit-down meetings. And the ideas you and your colleagues get while standing up are just as good --if not better-- than workgroups that hold sit-down meetings. One reason for this: by standing, you have already assumed a "power pose." New York magazine's "Science of Us" blog says that's a posture Harvard researchers have found help our brains under stress.
