Idle gossip & unconfirmed rumors:
Feel free to flip the relationship meter on RIHANNA and DRAKE to the "it's complicated" position. Sources tell Us Weekly the duo has been fighting and the problem is simple --he's simply too in love with the young superstar --who thrives on drama. (Lee)
JOAN RIVERS is rarely serious. When In Touch magazine asked Joan, who's 80, what she does for exercise, she said, "Oh I'm not into exercise. If God wanted me to bend over, he'd put diamonds on the floor."
Chic Sh*t:
Run! hide! The yoga pants trend is coming for our men! The women's wardrobe staple is trying to make inroads in the menswear department. Racked.com says top yoga pants-brand Lululemon is planning to open stand alone men's stores. And Yogasmoga, a new company that initially launched with women's clothes just rolled out its first round of men's styles. (Bartha)
The Reel Deal:
Do ya remember the 1982 film, "Blade Runner"?
It starred HARRISON FORD as one of a group of cops --called Blade Runners-- who hunt down organic robots called "replicants," who are banned from Earth and used exclusively on outer world colonies.
Now, the Hollywood Reporter says a movie company is doing a sequel with RIDLEY SCOTT directing and looking for Harrison Ford to reprise his role. Obviously, they story would take place several decades after the original flick.
IF Harrison takes the role, it'd obviously have to be after he finishes his work on "Star Wars: Episode 7," which is set to begin filming within the next few days.Grace notes:
LADY GAGA is now the first female artist to get to Diamond status. The Recording Industry Association of America honored her Tuesday with the Diamond Award for 10-million copies sold and streamed of her single, "Bad Romance." Gaga has sold 28.5-million units of seven total songs, with more than six million albums sold in the USA. (Marino)
Horsies:
Saturday marks the 139th running of the Preakness Stakes, the second (and shortest, at only 1-3/16 miles) of the Triple Crown horse races. It'll take place at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, MD, where post time will be 6:05 pm, and broadcast on ESPN. The race has been called "The Run for the Black-Eyed Susans" because a blanket of yellow flowers altered to resemble the Maryland State flower is placed around the winner's neck. The winning horse gets a purse of $1.5 million dollars. Last year, Oxbow was the winner of the Preakness. Latest odds for this year's race (horse followed by post position in parentheses) from Bovada:
--Ria Antonia (6), 33/1 (longshot)
--Ring Weekend (4), 28/1
--Pablo Del Monte (9), 20/1
--Dynamic Impact (1) and General a Rod (2), both 18/1
--Kid Cruz (7), 14/1
--Ride On Curlin (10), 12/1
--Bayern (5), 11/1
--Social Inclusion (8), 6/1
