What's Poppin':
When Westboro Baptist Church founder FRED PHELPS died last Thursday, many took to the Internet to wish him the worst, even hoping that a gay parade might be held at his funeral.
But it was a different message last Friday night outside a concert in Kansas City by New Zealander pop sensation LORDE (who many have gossiped has been in a lesbian relationship with TAYLOR SWIFT.)
Members of the Church staged a protest, their first after the death of Fred Phelps, but they were met with by counter-protesters who held up a banner that said, "Sorry for your loss," a message of condolence to the church members, many of whom are relatives of the late Fred Phelps.
Westboro members --who reportedly ousted Phelps from his own congregation earlier this year-- pretended to not understand the message.
One longtime church member said, "I don't even know what they're saying." (Maiman)Trolling for publicity:
MILA KUNIS and ASHTON KUTCHER got all smoochie for the Los Angeles Clippers' "Kiss-Cam" Saturday night. E! News, says the former "That 70s Show" co-stars-turned-couple "made out for a second" as the crowd cheered during the impromptu P-D-A moment. Mila's engagement ring was also clearly in view. The latest rumor, by the way, is that she's pregnant. (Bartha)
Stars and their movies:
Word has leaked out how Universal Pictures will get PAUL WALKER, who died before finishing "Fast & Furious 7," into the final version of the movie.
The movie was halfway finished when Paul died in a car crash outside of LA in late November, and the NY Daily News says producers "have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul's physique and they will be used for movement and as a base... Paul's face and voice will be used on top using CGI."
The cast and crew have been shooting scenes in downtown Atlanta to finish the film, which is scheduled to be in theatres next year at this time --Apr 10, 2015.
As you know, Paul plays cop Brian O'Conner in every film in the series except for the third installment, "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift."Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
Who is the most liked singer on Facebook? No, you're wrong. It's SHAKIRA! The Hollywood Reporter says that as of March 21st, she had over 86.3-million likes, which is more than RIHANNA's 86.2-million. Shakira is pretty stoked about this, and she posted on Facebook: "I always wanted to have a lot of friends but never imagined it would be so many... 86 [million]! So humbled, can't thank you guys enough for your support. I feel so fortunate to have you." Shakira's new self-titled album is out tomorrow. (Marino)
Trolling for IQ points:
It's the newest craze in 'selfie' photography: wrapping your face in clear plastic tape.
A Facebook page dedicated to 'Cellophane Tape Selfies' has attracted hundreds of thousands of followers in just a few days. Followers are participating by wrapping plastic tape around their own faces to make themselves look grotesque. The page was launched by 21-year-old LIZ DURLEY who got the idea from the JIM CARREY movie "Yes Man." She says, "I was having a bad day and remembered that scene from the film which really tickled me." (Still) -
