Posturing, Posing and Press Releases:
More evidence that NJ GOP Gov. CHRIS CHRISTIE's current "Bridgegate" controversy is taking a big toll on any thoughts he might have of running for president in 2016. A new CBS News/New York Timespoll shows Chrstie --among five possible Republican candidates-- is the only candidate who's numbers are "upside down" as to whether or not he should run in 2016.
Thirty-one-percent of Republicas say Christie should run for president, with 41-percent saying he should not run. (Pacelli)Sucks to be you:
Being an aging sex symbol ain't easy. Sources tell MIKE WALKER of the National Enquirer that KEVIN COSTNER's hair is disappearing fast, despite undergoing a transplant operation. Although stylists on the set of "Draft Day" worked overtime making his 'do look natural, the actor carefully reviewed footage every day to ensure there were no bald spots showing through. (Lee)
Fashion Emergency:
SARAH JESSICA PARKER says her new "affordable" line of shoes will look really good in your closet. And by "affordable," we mean prices between $195 and $495 per pair. And by "look really good in your closet," we mean since you can't afford to risk actually wearing them, you might as well use them as a home décor item.
People magazine's Stylewatch says Sarah is defending the prices for her new SJP Shoes line, which hits Nordstrom stores on Friday. Sarah contends that the shoes are cost-effective because of their high quality, Sarah said: "So while not as affordable to some as I would like them to be, there is a large group of people that can now reach out and have a shoe like this that's, you know, in my opinion, beautifully made, lasts a lifetime, will look good in their closet three and four years from now." In India, a parrot helped police solve a murder.
Cops had been trying to figure out who killed 45-year-old NEELAM SHARMA and her dog. But, they had no clues. A week after the death, Sharma's grieving husband noticed his pet parrot would act strange whenever his nephew, ASHUTOSH, visited the house. The widower says, "Whenever Ashutosh's name was mentioned, the parrot would start screeching." Police questioned Ashutosh, who eventually admitted to killing the woman while trying to rob the house.
