Trolling for publicity:
Uh, oh. The "Tanning Mom" is back in the news and this time PATRICIA KRENTCIL is dishing out (wait for it...) her beauty secrets! RadarOnline.com reports the woman with a face like naugahyde is working on her complexion in a new YouTube series with author DANA RAMOS --who just finished a book called "The Skin Regime: Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin." Patricia admits she's not thrilled with the treatment, but wants to look more natural at the tender age of 44.
The tanorexic catapulted into the limelight after allegedly bringing her five-year-old daughter into a tanning bed last April. She was arrested and is now set to plead her case in front of the New Jersey Grand Jury. (Lee)Broadcast, cable and video news:
The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards are this Sunday, with "Mad Men" looking for a record fifth Emmy in a row for Outstanding Drama Series and "Modern Family" looking for a third statuette in a row for Best Comedy Series.
JIMMY KIMMEL will be hosting the show at the Nokia Theatre in downtown LA. RYAN SEACREST and GIULIANA RANCIC will be doing the red carpet coverage for E! TV beginning at 6 pm (Eastern).Grace notes:
Don't expect anything new from LMFAO for a long time. AllHipHop.com says REDFOO, that's the one with the wild hair and glasses, is taking some time apart from SKY-BLU, who is also his nephew. Redfoo has been coaching tennis players in Las Vegas, and performing with the USA Women's Gymnastic team's Fierce Five on some of their tour dates. He's also writing a song for the New England Patriots. (Marino)
Look what I found:
A pistol that once belonged to outlaw BUTCH CASSIDY is set to be auctioned September 30th.
The Huffington Postsays the historical gun is expected to fetch a quarter million dollars or more. The 45-caliber Colt Single Action Army model revolver belongs to a private Illinois collector.
The pistol was originally purchased by Cassidy in 1896 from a hardware store in Utah. Cassidy and his band of outlaws held up banks and trains across the West and South America. Some believe he was killed in 1908 during a shootout in Bolivia. Others believe Cassidy lived under a pseudonym until the late 1930s. (Still)Food and Nutrition:
There's more than one way to lower your blood pressure. For anyone who doesn't want to go the medication route, there's always yogurt.
A study financed in part by the Dannon Company suggests people who eat at least one serving of yogurt every three days were 31-percent less likely to develop high blood pressure than those who ate no yogurt at all. Researchers suggest eating more yogurt may be even more beneficial for blood pressure control and the prevention of hypertension.
According to MedPage Today, these findings are in line with previous studies that have shown low-fat dairy products can help reduce blood pressure. The popular DASH diet recommends to two three servings of low-fat dairy products per day. (Page)Idle gossip & unconfirmed rumors:
RYAN REYNOLDS and BLAKE LIVELY have only been married two weeks, but rumors are already swirling that the "Gossip Girl" is in a "delicate condition." Spies tell the NY Post's Page Six gossip column the blonde bride is "glowing," seems to be eating more and everyone on the set of her hit show is on a "bump-watch." (Lee)
